Edouard Husson is Vice-Chancellor of the universities of Paris.

Between July 2009 and August 2010 he was advisor to the French minister of Higher education and Research, Valérie Pécresse. He was in charge of the prospective in the field of the Humanities and social sciences and in particular: the insertion into the job market of students having graduated from these fields of study; how to improve the methods of evaluation to the specificities of the social and human sciences; the internationalisation of higher education and research in these disciplines.
He also reported to the Minister on the work of the CDHSS( Conseil pour le développement des Humanités et des Sciences Sociales) of which he was the secrétaire général (http://www.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr/pid23414/conseil-pour-le-developpement-des-humanites-et-des-sciences-sociales-cdhss.html)

Edouard Husson has taught at the Robert Schuman University at Strasbourg (1995-1998), at the University Paris – Sorbonne (2001-2009) and at the Undergraduate campus of Sciences Po at Nancy (2001-2009). Since May 2009 he is a Professor at the University of Picardie (History of international affairs and modern conflicts)
He has been researcher at the Institut für Zeitgeschichte in Munich (1999-2001), has been invited researcher at the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies in Washington (2005 and 2006).
He has founded the Resource center for Teaching and Research on Holocaust in Eastern Europe at the University Paris-Sorbonne (2007).
He has studied at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, is “agrégé d’histoire” and holds a doctorate in History.
